If you run your opencart store and have more than one customer group on your website(for example VIP group) deallers grooup and so on. The purpose to have more than one customer group is to exclusive features to one or another groups.

For example set special prices for X items, Set discounts, etc.... This feature makes your pricing flexible. By default opencart allows you to assign options to a product, but these options are visible and select-able by all customers. So you can offer options per product just for all customers.

You will be able to select to which group the option in a product can be selected by one or another group. And that is not all, you will be able even to select a different option values per groups, for example VIP group can get extended support for 24 month when normal group users can get only 12.
