If you running opencart website you already know how to use modules on various pages. for example to show banners on categories, or another information on products page. all you need to do is install a module and go tu design>layouts section and assign it to your desired layout for product or category .

By default opencart has override layout feature, the one is very usefull if you don't want to have a specific module to be loaded one one or another category or product. You can overide the layout for that x product you desire and the loaded modules loaded on products layout will not load on this specific product.

But by default opencart do allows overide layouts just for Products, categories and information pages. And thats gives you a limtation of your website customisation.

What about Manufacturers? Why manufacturers? because it is one of the best pages to show diferrent advertisements based by manufacturer itself. What is worth displaying Samsung advertisement you added to manufacturer layout if user is visiting Apple brand on your website:)
